[舉例] He hid himself in surprise.他在驚慌中躲了起來(lái)。
[拓展]in surprise中的surprise為名詞“驚訝”,常見(jiàn)的短語(yǔ)還有to one’s surpri=to the surprise of sb.“令(某人)感到驚訝的是”其形容詞形式為 surprised.
[搭配]to one’s surprise 令(某)人感到驚訝的是

[拓展]lively作“生動(dòng)的”“活潑的”解時(shí),可作定語(yǔ)或表語(yǔ),也可作賓語(yǔ)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ),該詞是live + ly構(gòu)成;以-ly結(jié)尾的形容詞還有friendly,orderly,lovely等,注意不要將它們視為副詞。例如:

12. satisfy v. 使(某人)滿(mǎn)意或滿(mǎn)足
