【答案】A blind boy got little help when begging for money from others with some words written on a sign. But he finally attracted many other pedestrians’ attention after a passer-by offered to rewrite those words, receiving much help.

The story shows the power of “a good idea”.Instead of dealing with problems directly, people with a smart idea often see things in an unusual and unique angle, showing an ability to catch inspiration in life.

Years ago when my mother bought some expensive foods, she always refused to have some and let me eat them all. One day I got an idea. I often pretended that I couldn’t judge whether the foods are fresh and always asked her to try first, changing her habit without wordy persuasion.

As creativity does not come from nowhere, people need to not only collect wisdom and beauty in life actively, but also have a free mind. When we do not care much about rules, we are not far away from an excellent idea.

【題目】(RAMALLAH, West Bank) — Israel(以色列) freed 26 Palestinian(巴勒斯坦) prisoners early Wednesday, the second of four groups to be released as part of an agreement that started the current Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, which had broken down since 2008. In all, 104 prisoners are to be released in four rounds over the coming months.

In the West Bank and Gaza(加沙), the mood was overexcited as hundreds of Palestinians welcomed the prisoners back home, after many had spent more than 20 years behind bars.

Crowds of people rushed toward the 5 prisoners released to Gaza, raising them on their shoulders, waving Palestinian flags and dancing to music. Relatives held signs that read “we will never forget our heroes.” More than 2,000 people welcomed the 21 prisoners released to the West Bank, who were greeted at a ceremony by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah.

Hazem Shubair, thrown into prison in 1994 for the death of an Israeli according to the Israeli Prison Service, was over delighted upon his return to Gaza. “I am speechless,” he said. “Thanks to God. God is greater than the aggressors (meaning Israel)”.

Abbas said a final peace agreement with Israel was possible on the release of the prisoners. “There will be no final agreement without the release of all the prisoners,” he told the violent crowd.

Israel’s Supreme Court (最高法院) earlier refused an appeal that intended to cancel the prisoner release. An organization of bereaved (失去親人的) families behind the appeal has said it fears the prisoners, all in connection to the deaths of Israelis, will return to violence once freed.

1Why did Israel free 26 Palestinian prisoners early Wednesday?

A. Because they would take part in the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.

【題目】Finding a friend doesn’t seem like a difficult job. However, bad friends are easier to find than good friends these days. If you’re sitting there and wondering if you have a bad friend, let me define it for you.

A bad friend is someone whose jealousies and insecurities outweigh their love for someone. They night want to be a good friend but they’re too messed up in their own head to ever actually do it. They wonder if their friends are going out without them or if they’re being forgotten and left behind. People who are violently insecure don’t have what it takes to be the quality of a friend.

Bad friends are narcissistic(自戀的). They look for any opportunity to bring the conversation back to them. Worse, they might not even be aware that they’re doing it. In their mind, they might think they are the best friend ever, which is truly frightening.

Bad friends are quick-change. They’re by your side when you’re fun and you have something to give them but as soon as you’re going through a difficult time, they will become indifferent quickly. They won’t bring you cold medicine. They won’t give you a ride to the doctor, everything they do is self-serving.

If you find a friend who has these same characteristics, send them to your bad friend list immediately. Your friends are supposed to be the solution to your problems, not the source.

I believe your twenties are a time when you need positive and helpful friends. In such a time, friendships aren’t easy to maintain like they once were in school. Now we actually have to put work into it, we have to make a conscious effort to keep the friendship going. You need to ask yourself, “Is this person worth it? Do they treat me like a fool or what?” if your have doubts, try to make them clear by considering the past experiences. Toxic(有毒的) friendships do nothing but drag you down. My point is that you have to take care of yourself and stop getting in touch with your bad friends. Only surround yourself with people who bring out the best qualities in you. It may sound cruel but it’s true,.

1The author believes that we can easily find a .

A. close friend B. poor friend C. good friend D. bad friend

2Bad friends give the author the following impressions EXCEPT being .

A. outgoing B. insecure

C. narcissistic D. self-centred

3We can infer from the passage that a bad friend will when you have trouble.

A. feel worried as you do B. try hard to help you out

C. do nothing but leave you D. pay more attention to you

4In the last paragraph, you are advised .

A. not to treat your friends like fools B. not to keep a terrible friendship

C. not to be a bad friend of others D. not to doubt but ask yourself

5What is the purpose of the passage?

A. To tell us finding a friend is not an easy job for everyone.

B. To help us know about bad friends and get rid of them.

C. To encourage us to make more friends in school.

D. To advise us not to treat our close friends badly.

【題目】It was a physical class. But it was nothing like previous ones the class was “attended”

by over 60 million students across China, and the teacher was not even on the planet: she was 340 kilometers above the earth.

“Hello, everyone. I’m Wang Yaping. I’ll host your lecture today.” Smiling to the camera, Wang, China’s second female astronaut, started her video class on June 20 on board the Tiangong-1 space station.

To show how Newton’s Laws work in space, Wang and her fellow astronauts used simple items like balls and spinning tops. The highlight of the lecture was when Wang made a film of water using a metal ring, something that only happens in zero gravity, where the surface tension(張力) of water is much higher than it is on the earth. She then took it a step further by pouring more water onto the film and turning it into a water ball, leaving the audience amazed by what they saw.

The 40-minute lesson seemed to have passed too quickly for students to see enough of those magical experiments. But sending stuff into space is really expensive. According to The Beijing Times, every kilogram launched into space cost 20,000 dollars. The experimental items taken this time were all strictly selected and weighed about 2.9 kilograms in total. This adds up to quite a large price tag.

The organizers of the event also had to consider the time of day: the communication signal between the earth and Tiangong-1 was best during that specific 40 minutes, when the spacecraft was flying within the coverage of all of the ground-based testing stations.

【1】Why is the class different from a common one?

A. Because it took 40 minutes.

B. Because over 60 million students across the world attended it.

C. Because the teacher was on the planet.

D. Because the lecturer was in space.

【2】One of the experiments shows .

A. object motion under weight conditions

B. laws of physics under weightless conditions

C. laws of physics under weight conditions

D. how Newton’s Laws work on the earth

【3】Which phrase can best replace the underlined words in the passage?

A. took a photo of water.

B. recorded moving pictures of water.

C. made a thin layer of water.

D. all the above.

【4】Which of the following statements can be the best title of the passage?

A. Teaching from the Sky. B. Teaching on Physics.

C. Teaching Experiments. D. Teaching by an Astronaut.
