Every weekend in Britain there’s a certain kind of shop that is always very busy, but it’s not one of the shops you might typically think of, but DIY (Do It Yourself) shops and garden centers. Each weekend huge numbers of people might not relax themselves, they spend their days doing improvements to their homes.

DIY projects are very popular in Britain and there are lots of TV programs which show people how they can improve their homes.
