Ken started to work that morning in the same part of the factory as usual. And there were no other people in that part. All of a sudden, Ken knocked a shelf (架子) and a pile (一堆) began to fill. The next thing Ken knew was that 25,000 pounds of steel was on his legs. Ken couldn't help crying out. It wasn't long before the police cars appeared in front of the factory. When the workers in other parts of the factory saw this, they rushed to the back to see what was going on. They were shocked when they saw Ken was under 25,000 pounds of steel.

Ken was sent to the hospital in a rush. Both of his legs had to be cut above the knees.

The following day, Ken's boss went to the hospital to see him. When he asked, "Ken, how are you?" Ken smiled and replied, "Well, I'm shorter than I was yesterday."

This is really a different attitude towards life. We may not be able to control every situation, but we can control our attitude and how we deal with things.
