閱讀短文, 根據短文內容用完整的句子回答下列問題. 答案寫在答卷的相應位置上。
I am Daisy Jones. At about 8:30 this morning, I was walking on Ocean Road when a boy on a bike passed me quickly. The road was empty at that time so the boy kept riding in the middle.
Suddenly a car appeared. It passed me, then followed the boy for a while. It tried to pass the boy several times but failed. The driver began to sound the horn(鳴笛). However, it seemed that the boy didn't hear it. He was probably listening to music with earplugs(耳塞)! That was terrible.
Suddenly the car speeded up and passed the boy. Unluckily it hit the boy. The boy fell off his bike onto the road. But the car did not stop. It continued on its way. I believe the driver knew he had hit the boy because I saw him look back from the window.
The car was quite old. It was a red Ford Escort. But its number plate(車牌)was so dirty that I couldn't see its number. The driver was a man with long hair. He wasn't old but I can't guess his age.
I ran to the boy mid saw he was badly hurt. So I called the police at once. They soon arrived. The boy was sent to the hospital at once. I told a police officer what I had seen. She asked me to make a statement at the police station.
【1】Where did the accident happen?
【2】What did the driver do after failing to pass the boy?
【3】Why couldn't Daisy get the car number?
【4】Did Daisy know how old the driver exactly was?
【5】How was the boy after the accident?

Feeling leftout?
A reader wrote in to say that she was feeling lonely at break because her best friend wasn't around. Here's our advice to her—and to all kids who feel lonely sometimes.
It's hard when a best friend isn't around—maybe because she moved to a different school or a different class. You may feel lonely at break or lunchtime. You want to have new friends, but how do you make them? Maybe it seems like everybody else already has their friends. But remember, there's always room for more friends.
Start by looking around your classroom—think about which kids you'd like to play with at break. Look for chances to say hi to them, smile, and be friendly. Offer to share something or express your appreciation(欣賞)to them. Invite someone to play with you or say “Do you want to sit here?” in the lunchroom. When you’re at break, walk over to kids you want to play with, act friendly, and say “Hi, can I play, too?” or just join in.
If you have trouble doing this or if you're feeling shy, ask your teacher to help you make new friends. Teachers are usually pretty good at matching up friends. The best way to make friends is to be a friend. Be kind, be friendly, share, say nice things, offer to help—and pretty soon, you'll have one, or two, or even more new friends.
You might still miss that special best friend. But when you see each other, you can share something you didn't have before she left. You can introduce her to your new friends!

【題目】閱讀理解
Have you ever had the strange feeling that you were being watched? You turn around and ,sure enough, someone was looking right at you!
Parapsychologists(靈學家) say that humans have a natural ability to sense when someone is looking at them. To research whether such a “ six sense” really exists, Robert Baker, a psychologist(心理學家) at the University of Kentucky, did two experiments.
In the first one, Baker sat behind unknowing people in public places and stared at the backs of their heads for 5 to 15 minutes. The subjects (受試者) were eating, drinking, reading, studying, watching TV, or working at a computer. Baker made sure that the people could not tell that he was sitting behind them during those periods. Later when he questioned the subjects, almost all of them said they had no sense that someone was staring at them.
For the second experiment, Baker told the subjects that they would be stared at from time to time from behind in a laboratory setting. The people had to write down when they felt they being stared at and when they weren't. Baker found the subjects were no better at telling when they were stared at and when they weren't.
Baker concludes that people do not have the ability to sense when they are being stared at. If people doubt the outcome of his two experiments, said Baker, “I suggest they repeat the experiments and see for themselves.”

A.Prove why humans have a sixth sense.
B.explain when people can have a sixth sense

A.Value
B.Result
C.Performance
D.Connection
(4)In the second experiment, the subjects______.

B.couldn't tell when they were stared at and when they aren't
C.couldn't tell when they were stared at but could tell when they weren't.
D.could tell when they were stared at but couldn't tell when they weren't.

A.People are born with a sixth sense.
B.the experiments support parapsychologists' idea.
